1. Spartans win by double figures — again

Listen, I think Texas is a clear Top 25 team, but Michigan State is just playing out of its mind right now. The Spartans have won four straight games, all by double-digits, and they’re coming off a 20-point victory over the No. 17 team in the country in what could have easily been an even bigger blowout.

Michigan State followed up a strong second half versus No. 1 Kansas with a 24-point win over FGCU where it scored 106 points and then a 21-point victory over a solid UL-Monroe team which gave Texas fits the week prior. The Spartans then beat Tennessee Tech by 68 points before dominating UCLA.

Texas may not suffer the same blowout fate as the rest — meaning no 20-point losses in the Longhorns’ future — but after a close game through the first 30 minutes, the Spartans will find a way to extend the lead to double-digits and close out that way.

Free throws may contribute to the final score looking as comfortable as it does, but Michigan State will beat Texas 81-71 on Friday evening to win the Las Vegas Invitational.
