3. Michigan State makes 15 more 3-pointers

One night after drilling 13 shots from 3-point range in 24 attempts, Michigan State will bounce back to hit 15, making over 50 percent for a second consecutive game.

Through the first few games, Michigan State has lived and died by the three, which got it in trouble during the NCAA Tournament a season ago and Tom Izzo is hoping to avoid that, but when you’re hot, well, you’re hot. Michigan State will remain red-hot from long-range on Friday night, torching the Longhorns’ defense for six threes in the first half and nine in the second.

Cassius Winston will once again lead the way with four, Josh Langford will add three, Kyle Ahrens will chip in two more, Matt McQuaid will have another three and Marcus Bingham Jr., Kenny Goins and Aaron Henry will each add one.

It’ll be another nice 3-point barrage from the green and white and it’ll force Texas to make its shots, though most of the Spartans long-range jumpers will come in the second half.

Texas will match, though, remaining hot on its end after a strong performance against North Carolina.
