4. Xavier Tillman bounces back with double-double

If you think you had a long Thanksgiving, just imagine how Xavier Tillman felt. His poor night just never seemed to end as the sophomore big man had not only his roughest defensive night, but was also non-existent on the offensive end with zero points and two turnovers.

On defense, he seemed to be the only big having trouble in the post as he was caught grabbing more often than not, getting whistled for three fouls in the process.

To say it was a night to forget is an understatement for the young star. He has all the talent to become one of the best Michigan State has had to offer in the post in the Tom Izzo era, but he needs to get some confidence back, and he’ll do just that against the Longhorns.

Texas runs out a number of solid bigs, but Tillman matches up well. He’s more athletic than he was a season ago, but just needs to cut down his turnovers and make his bunnies.

Tillman will find easy baskets all day long, via pass or on his own, finishing with 11 points and 12 rebounds with three assists. He’ll cut his turnovers as he’ll own just one and he won’t be in foul trouble this time.

Another double-double for the sophomore.
