4. Michigan State rushes for 250-plus yards

Just two games ago, Connor Heyward had his best career rushing performance against a struggling Maryland team and he’ll do so yet again versus a Nebraska defense that can’t stop anyone these days.

In fact, the Cornhuskers have allowed about 194 yards per game on the ground this season and Heyward will be the next back to give them a tough time with his physical running style.

Michigan State’s ground game has been mediocre, at best, this season, but that’s going to change against a bad Nebraska defense. Hayward will reach that 100-yard plateau yet again and we’ll see more of La’Darius Jefferson and Weston Bridges, too.

On top of that, if Brian Lewerke starts (he shouldn’t because he’s not healthy) the staff will design plenty of run plays for him to take pressure off that arm/shoulder. He, or Rocky Lombardi, will add 50-plus rushing yards of their own.

Michigan State will reach the 250-yard mark on the ground as a team.
