2. Brian Lewerke will get back on track

Believe it or not, but this will be the game that makes people remember what the old Brian Lewerke was like and he’s going to get back on track with a big performance.

Maybe he won’t have a big game the likes of Dwayne Haskins, but he’s going to take advantage of a struggling Ohio State secondary, passing for 250 yards and two touchdowns. He’ll keep the Spartans in the game with both his arm and his legs. He’s going to add another 75 yards rushing and surpass the 300 total yard mark.

Lewerke will complete over 65 percent of his passes and, get this, he won’t throw an interception, avenging his ugly performance from last season.

He completed just 18-of-36 passes for 131 yards and two interceptions but you know he remembers that and the motivation is strong to put that in the rearview memory, as well as an apparent quarterback controversy that some fans have conjured up.

The quarterback controversy talk will be extinguished on Saturday.
