Michigan State football enters the final month of the 2018 regular season and that must mean it’s time to be bold. Will the Spartans make some noise?

It’s hard to believe we are in the final month of the 2018 regular season for Michigan State football. It seems like it was just yesterday that the Spartans were fighting off upset-hungry Utah State in the season opener and traveling to the desert to face Arizona State.

Two months and plenty of ups and downs later and the Spartans are just one win away from bowl eligibility and, surprisingly, still in the Big Ten title race.

Michigan State has wins over Penn State on the road and a red-hot Purdue team. A home loss to Michigan put a damper on the division title hopes, but if the Spartans can win out and the Wolverines lose two more, the Spartans would head to Indianapolis.

The month of November could be a huge one for the Spartans, but can they put together a serious Big Ten title run?

5. Cody White returns with a vengeance

Miss Cody White yet? You’re not alone. You can bet Brian Lewerke, too, misses one of his favorite targets, especially with Felton Davis III out for the season.

Luckily, he’s on his way back and could even play in Week 10 against Maryland. However, the staff could decide to hold him out until the Ohio State game, which would be the smart move.

When White returns against the Buckeyes, he’ll have one of the best games of his young career to get his confidence back and then he’ll carry that over into Rutgers and Nebraska. In the final three games of the regular season, White will average over 100 receiving yards per game with five total touchdowns.

White will be back with a vengeance, finally giving the Spartans a true No. 1 receiver to complement Darrell Stewart Jr., Jalen Nailor and Cam Chambers.
