6. Spartans’ fourth straight win (2011)

This one marked the fourth straight win for the Spartans in the rivalry, the first such streak for the green and white since 1959-62.

Michigan State had the game in the bag, but Michigan had the ball down by a touchdown in the fourth quarter and momentum on its side. The Wolverines looked like they were going to tie things up on one final drive in the fourth, but Denard Robinson did some Denard Robinson things through the air.

Though he was one of the best running quarterbacks in college football history, his arm really held him back and it did so yet again in the fourth quarter.

Dropping back on a first-and-10, Robinson felt pressure from a double A-gap blitz and tossed the ball off his back foot right into the waiting arms of Isaiah Lewis who returned the ball about 40 yards for a game-clinching touchdown.

Lewis’ pick-six will forever be remembered, especially his taunt at Robinson while crossing the goal-line. Michigan State players were holding up “four” when the clock hit triple-zero to signal their fourth straight win over the maize and blue.
