1. Spartans pull off another upset

Often in the past decade, Michigan State entered this rivalry game as an underdog. This season is no different.

In fact, Michigan is a seven-point favorite as it heads to Spartan Stadium for a big Week 8 battle and it’s one of those occasions where both teams are ranked. This time, the Wolverines are ranked much higher at No. 6 while the Spartans are sitting at 24th in the country.

That seven-point spread is music to the Spartans’ ears.

Michigan State plays much better as an underdog and it’ll beat that spread on Saturday afternoon, and then some.

What do I mean by this? I mean the Spartans will find a way to make the plays on both sides of the ball in the fourth quarter, avoiding a meltdown, and winning a second straight thriller and improving Mark Dantonio’s record against the Wolverines to 9-3.

This one will be decided by less than seven points and Michigan State will come out on the winning side of this instant classic.
