Michigan State basketball makes cut for 4-star PF Malik Hall

Michigan State basketball has made the top three for one of the top remaining forward targets in the 2019 class, four-star Malik Hall.

Tom Izzo’s been hard at work on the recruiting trail despite the fact that the season is fast approaching. Michigan State is one of the three programs to make the cut for one of the 2019 class’ top recruits, four-star power forward Malik Hall.

Hall, the No. 52 recruit in the country from Wichita, Kan., took a trip to East Lansing for the annual Michigan State Madness and got a chance to see the Spartans in action for a scrimmage as well as take in a football game against Northwestern the next day.

While his official visit is in the books, Michigan State is still hoping for some good news from the four-star power forward.

He did, however, list the green and white in his final three.

Usually when recruits trim things down to three schools, that means a decision is on the horizon. He could soon be choosing a program and the Spartans look to be in good shape.

Michigan State may have made up some ground with the recent visit, but it may still be running third for the four-star’s services. Oregon and Purdue have been considered the favorites in this recruitment and even after a visit, it’s looking like he’s heading to one of those programs with the Spartans still heavily recruiting Keion Brooks.

This is a good development for Michigan State, but the chances are this recruitment is close to being over with no additional opportunities to get Hall back to campus.
