1. Felton Davis III’s game-winner

If you haven’t seen this play about 10-15 times, can you really call yourself a Spartan? Michigan State found itself down by three with time winding down and a huge third-down play approaching.

Felton Davis III, who had been red-hot all evening, told Brian Lewerke in the huddle that his defender had been playing the “hitch” route well all game long and that he was just going toward the end zone. All he asked for was a catchable ball, and his quarterback delivered with a back-shoulder throw (or under-throw), of sorts.

Dropping back with under 30 seconds left, Lewerke held true to his word that he’d get Felton the ball in single-coverage, hitting the senior wide out near the sideline as he turned around, located the ball, fooled his defender and walked into the end zone.
