2. Brian Lewerke passes for 400 yards again

This might seem crazy given that Penn State’s defense has played relatively well this season, but Brian Lewerke carved up the Nittany Lions in 2017 with 400 yards and two touchdowns, completing 49 percent of his passes.

To say Lewerke’s incapable of putting up these type of numbers against a team like Penn State would be false and he just needs on solid game to get him rolling in the right direction — he used Northwestern and Penn State for that last year.

Michigan State will need a big game from its star quarterback on Saturday afternoon if it wants any chance of an upset and Lewerke will get back to his old ways, passing for 400 yards and a couple of scores.

While the 400 yards may be impressive, it’ll be because the run gam won’t be able to get off the ground again and he’ll be forced to approach the 50-attempt mark for the second straight season against the Nittany Lions.

This could be a stat-padding game, but it’ll also be his best showing of the season.
