3. Felton Davis III finishes with over 150 receiving yards

A receiver as talented as Felton Davis III should not be held under 100 yards in each of the first four games of the season, but that’s where the senior wide out stands.

Brian Lewerke knows how to get his big receiver the ball, but he needs to do it a little more with Cody White out of the lineup with a broken hand. Davis III will step up, catching 10 passes for over 150 yards and two touchdowns, helping Lewerke’s aerial attack.

While losing White definitely hurts the Spartans, it could be a blessing in disguise for the depth of the receiving corps as well as the growing connection between Davis III and Lewerke.

There may not be a more sure-handed target in the Big Ten but we haven’t seen him reach his potential through the first four games, but the ball will be headed his way quite a bit against the Wildcats.

Davis III is fully capable of 100-yard games, but he’ll break the century mark, and then some. Northwestern won’t have an answer for him. He’s no stranger to big games against the Wildcats.
