WIDE RECEIVERS. A-. . WR. Michigan State

Cody White’s injury has put a damper on the receiving corps, but there’s still plenty of depth.

If you’re not familiar with Felton Davis III, you’ve been living under a rock. One of the best receivers in the Big Ten resides in East Lansing and he’s been a menace for opponents, catching 16 passes for 278 yards and a touchdown, but with White out, his production is about to multiply.

White has been one of the best receivers in the conference as well, catching 20 passes for 300 yards and two touchdowns but he’ll be out for about a month with a broken hand.

Darrell Stewart Jr. was injured about Central Michigan but has had a strong start to the year, catching 14 passes for 127 yards. Expect more of the electric slot receiver, too.

Keep an eye on Jalen Nailor has the freshman has been a breakout star, and as long as he can get healthy, he’ll be a big part of the offense. Laress Nelson has shown flashes, Brandon Sowards is sure-handed and we could see some Cam Chambers and C.J. Hayes.

This group of receivers just doesn’t drop passes.

D. . TE. Michigan State. TIGHT ENDS

The tight ends, on the other hand, have had essentially zero role in this offense. In fact, Matt Dotson and Matt Sokol have a combined two catches for 17 yards and a touchdown. There needs to be a bigger emphasis on this group moving forward — and that’s on the staff and Brian Lewerke.
