Between Trayce Jackson-Davis and Drew Timme, the former has a higher upside, but the Spartans may have a better chance to land the latter.

Jackson-Davis is looking like a lock to remain close to home and sign with the Indiana Hoosiers, but the Spartans are holding out hope. If you follow the 247Sports Crystall Ball, it would tell you that Michigan State stands no chance against Indiana, but crazier things have happened.

The five-star center is close friends with another top target on the Spartans’ 2019 board, who we will get to a bit later, and that could draw both of them to East Lansing, but that’s only in a perfect world.

While standing 6-foot-8.5 and weighing in at 232 pounds may seem like an undersized center, he could be perfect in the middle for the Spartans. He’s an athletic big who can throw down and play solid defense in the post. He’s got a knack for blocking shots and he’s money around the rim.

Jackson-Davis is ranked the No. 15 player in the country as well as the fourth-best center.
