Is there a better group of receivers in the Big Ten? It’d be hard to argue, but Ohio State is right up there with the Spartans and Michigan State’s receiving corps continue to impress week after week.

Saturday in Bloomington was no exception as the green and white got huge performances from Felton Davis III and Cody White. Those two continue to prove that they’re future NFL receivers, making even the most difficult catches look routine.

On a night when Brian Lewerke was a bit off on his throws, the receivers more than made up for it.

Davis III led the team with five catches for 79 yards while White had four receptions for 75 yards. These two continue to be menaces for opposing defensive backs.

Jalen Nailor, too, stepped up, catching a 16-yard touchdown pass and putting the game away with a 75-yard end-around touchdown run in the second half. He’s proving to be a solid third or fourth option for the Spartans, along with Darrell Stewart Jr. who had a quiet game because of an injury.

The tight ends didn’t get much attention for the third straight game other than Matt Dotson being targeted in the red zone again. The first pass to Dotson was way off line, but Lewerke hit him right before halftime for a beautiful 11-yard score. If he can gain some momentum from this, it would be huge for the offense.
