This one I’m feeling extremely confident about, for some reason. Matt Dotson was one of the highest-rated tight end commitments in the Mark Dantonio era and after a quiet freshman season, playing behind Matt Sokol, he’s had a chance to become ‘the guy’ at the position as a sophomore.

Through two games, that hasn’t quite been the case. He has been targeted a couple of times, but he and Brian Lewerke haven’t been on the same page.

To get these two on the same page, the bye week may have helped big-time, but also the junior quarterback needs to realize he has some impressive talent at tight end he needs to utilize.

Watching the two not be on the same page against Arizona State was frustrating, especially since Dotson had a sure touchdown but Lewerke overthrew him in the end zone which led to a tipped ball and interception — that could have been the difference in this one.

It’s only a matter of time before Dotson gets involved in a big way, so why not this week?
