4. Justin Layne will slow down N’Keal Harry

Trying to put a cornerback on a receiver who is 6-foot-4 is nearly an impossible task, but not for Michigan State. Luckily for the Spartans, they have one of the bigger corners in college football in 6-foot-3 Justin Layne.

Not often do you see a cornerback stand nearly as tall as a team’s biggest wide out, but Layne used to be a receiver himself. He has benefitted from his time at receiver and knows the ins and outs of the position which has helped him transition to cornerback.

The Spartans desperately need to stop N’Keal Harry who is arguably the best wide out in the Pac-12 and they’ll do just that thanks to Layne.

Harry will finish the game with 62 receiving yards and a touchdown on six catches which is a pretty solid lockdown day from Layne. Not many defensive backs can contain this talented kid from Arizona State.

This is the biggest key to slowing the Sun Devils’ offense.
