3. LJ Scott rushes for over 150 yards

Are you part of the ‘bench LJ Scott in favor of Connor Heyward’ crowd? If you are, you may be disappointed with Saturday’s result as the senior running back will bounce back in a big way, rushing for over 150 yards and a touchdown.

The disrespect of Scott has been undeniable following the Utah State game, but what people don’t seem to realize is that he was running behind a shaky offensive line that couldn’t seem to open holes between the tackles while Heyward was given most of the outside-the-tackle-box running plays which gashed the Aggies.

Moreover, Scott still managed over 140 yards of total offense and that’s just not enough for some people.

Yes, Heyward is a talented back, but Scott is the starter for a reason. He’s going to quiet his critics in the desert, putting on a show in Sun Devils Stadium to help open up the passing game.

After finishing with a lackluster yards per carry average against Utah State, Scott will average 6.4 yards per touch while reaching that 150-yard mark.

Not a bad day at the office.
