This is the year — the year that LJ Scott puts it all together. Spartan Nation has waited a long time for him to seize sole possession of the running back spot. It was a crowded backfield when Scott arrived in East Lansing with Madre London and Gerald Holmes.

Even though London started the year as the starter, it was Scott’s gutsy performance against Iowa in the Big Ten Championship that forever put him in Spartan lore.

Scott has always had undeniable talent, however, it has been difficult for him to steak his claim to the running back spot. Whether it was the legal issues or fumbling problem that he’s had, Scott’s abilities are reminiscent of MSU legend Le’Veon Bell.

This will the year that Scott cements his legacy as a Spartan great. Dantonio will want to get him going early, therefore, look for him to get about 15-20 carries in this game. He will have over 100 yards rushing and a touchdown.
