4. Five Spartans make first-team All-Big Ten

This is actually a relatively mild bold prediction as the Spartans have at least five first-team All-Big Ten talents on the roster.

Let’s go down the list and see which five could make first-team.

First, there’s Brian Lewerke who is considered the first or second-best quarterback in the conference. It wouldn’t surprise many people to see him surpass Trace McSorley as the conference’s best gunslinger.

Then Joe Bachie comes to mind. He and Michigan’s Devin Bush are the two best inside linebackers in the conference. It’ll be a two-player contest, it seems, for first-team All-Big Ten.

In the secondary, Khari Willis, David Dowell, Justin Layne and Josiah Scott all have the potential to make the first-team. Could two Spartan defensive backs earn the highest honor in the conference? It’s possible.

Raequan Williams, Kenny Willekes and Mike Panasiuk are candidates on the defensive line while Kevin Jarvis and Luke Campbell pace the offensive line.

Don’t forget LJ Scott, Felton Davis III and Cody White from the offensive skill positions.

See, five All-Big Ten first-teamers are possible.
