1. Team chemistry

Mark Dantonio admitted that the chemistry on the team right now is as good as it’s been since he’s been at Michigan State. The players are talking about the chemistry being at an all-time high as well as Khari Willis said this is the closest team he’s ever been around and Brian Lewerke has raved about the tight-knit squad as well.

Two years removed from a nightmare season, sparkling team chemistry is music to fans’ and coaches’ ears. Prior to that 2016 season, Michigan State looked like a team to beat in the Big Ten and a potential back-to-back playoff berth team. However, the locker room wasn’t gelling and the guys didn’t seem to trust each other on and off the field. That led to a disastrous 3-9 finish.

Heading into the 2018 season, expectations are back to where they should be, and even beyond what everyone had hoped for after that 3-9 season.

Will the team chemistry remain high, though?

These guys need to continue to prove they can trust each other and act as brothers rather than just co-workers. They’re all working toward the same goal, so that should help matters.
