This year, Mark Dantonio has jumped at every opportunity to talk about his close-knit team. The Spartans have excellent chemistry, and the head coach went as far as saying it’s the highest chemistry that he’s seen at Michigan State.

That chemistry must remain at an all-time high for Michigan State to have a special season.

If the Spartans want to make it to the Big Ten title game and the College Football Playoff, the locker room must be able to remain a comfortable place for these guys. The second they turn on each other, it’s all over — just look at what happened in 2016.

These guys like each other, and that has to continue. Successful teams have dozens of guys who trust each other unconditionally and like each other more than just on the field.
