I’ve been saying this for the past year, or so, but Cam Chambers is going to be a solid Big Ten receiver and he has the potential to be a star in this offense.

Waiting patiently behind a plethora of wide outs hasn’t been easy for the redshirt sophomore, but he has watched the dos and don’ts of the position, learning little by little. He’s watched as the crowd at wide receiver has been thinned out over the past two seasons and he’s going to see the field much more in 2018.

The New Jersey-native appeared in 13 games as a redshirt freshman, but caught only five passes for 66 yards. That minimal production mirrored Felton Davis III’s first season as a Spartan, so there’s definitely hope for Chambers’ emergence.

With Trishton Jackson and Hunter Rison transferring, the depth chart has opened up an opportunity for him to produce and he showed in spring ball that he’s ready.
