Michigan State’s receiving corps may be the best in the Big Ten heading into the 2018 season and a big reason for that distinction is Felton Davis III.

The senior wide out is the leader of the receiving corps and arguably the top NFL receiver prospect from the Big Ten. He had a quiet first two season with the Spartans and his junior season was the ‘put up or shut up’ year in his Spartan career. Well, he definitely put up, accounting for 55 receptions for 776 yards and nine touchdowns — he had just 14 catches for 200 yards and a score combined in his freshman and sophomore years.

Davis III is now looking like a Big Ten Receiver of the Year frontrunner and he could become the third Spartan to earn that award in the past five years, joining Tony Lippett (2014) and Aaron Burbridge (2015).

Davis III has the size at 6-foot-4 and 195 pounds to become an unstoppable red-zone and jump-ball threat. He could break the 10-touchdown mark in 2018
