Looking for a long, athletic future point guard to join the Spartans? Look no further than four-star combo guard Harlond Beverly.

The Southfield-native may not be as highly ranked as the others on this list, but he’s every bit as important. His length and athleticism make him one of the most highly sought-after recruits in the country. He’s ranked the No. 60 prospect in the country as well as No. 7 combo guard and third-best Michigan prospect.

Beverly stands 6-foot-4 but weighs just 167 pounds. Clearly he’s going to need to add a little weight to that frame in order to fit in with Tom Izzo’s system.

The Spartans are in good shape to land him as the current leaders, but don’t sleep on Baylor, Ohio State and Xavier.

Rocket Watts and Beverly are the top guard targets in the 2019 class along with Josiah James, but Izzo may like the Southfield-native best — and may have the best chance with him.
