Michigan State football may not have to wait much longer to hear a decision from top four-star defensive end target Michael Fletcher.

There’s excitement growing for Michigan State’s 2019 recruiting class as Mark Dantonio may be piecing together his best group of commits yet. Still, there are a handful of prospects who remain un-committed but they could be nearing decisions.

One of the top targets for the Spartans in the class is four-star defensive end Michael Fletcher from Flint. He has been near the top of the Spartans’ board for a while now and could be the top remaining defensive recruit for Michigan State.

Fletcher hinted at a June commitment via Twitter on Saturday. Three-star defensive back Marcus Fuqua from Southfield A&T posted about an upcoming commitment date in June and Fletcher quoted the tweet and responded with “Same”.

Michigan State has been gaining steam in his recruitment as the Spartans have been considered the leaders for the past couple of months. Michigan is also high on his list along with Wisconsin. It seems as if he’s looking to stay in Big Ten country for college ball.

Fletcher has June official visits planned for Michigan, Wisconsin and Kentucky and has recently seen East Lansing for what he called an “amazing” visit with his grandmother.

The Spartans could be in a prime position to land the state’s sixth-best prospect, according to 247Sports. He may have a good idea of where he wants to be, but needs these last officials just to make sure — and that may be East Lansing.
