7. Blocked field goal vs. Baylor (2015)

The call: “It’s blocked! The Spartans block it. It’s scooped up by the Spartans. On the run, RJ Williamson down the right sideline and out of bounds near midfield.”

Whenever you listen to a Michigan State football game on the radio, you can expect to hear George Blaha’s golden voice alongside Jason Strayhorn’s excited one.

The 2015 Cotton Bowl against Baylor was no exception as Blaha tried to keep his cool after the Spartans blocked a crucial field goal by the Bears late in the fourth quarter and RJ Williamson scooped it up and took it back to midfield. Strayhorn was the exact opposite, shouting with excitement like a little kid on Christmas.

This one may not have the most memorable call, but it was up there in terms of Dantonio era moments. Fans will never forget the Cotton Bowl comeback and Strayhorn’s excitement as Williamson dashed down the sideline following the de-cleating block by Tony Lippett on Baylor’s kicker.
