4. Is Felton Davis III growing into the Big Ten’s best WR?

Before the 2017 season, no one knew what to make of the Spartans’ receiving corps, especially with unproven wide outs in Felton Davis III, Darrell Stewart Jr. and Cody White leading the way.

Davis III had been nothing more than a role player through his first two seasons with the Spartans, catching a total of 14 passes for 200 yards and a touchdown. He proved just about everyone wrong as a junior, standing out as the No. 1 receiver.

As a junior, he caught 55 passes for 776 yards and nine touchdowns and he looked like a beast throughout the year. Heading into 2018, he has lofty expectations for himself.

Can Davis III prove to be a 100-catch, 1,000-yard receiver in 2018? We will find out just how much progress the 6-4 receiver from Virginia has progressed this offseason during the spring game.

Is Felton ready to become the Big Ten’s best receiver? He could very well become the third Big Ten Receiver of the Year in five seasons for Michigan State.
