1. Miles Bridges drops 30 points

Miles Bridges is a bad dude. The sophomore sensation didn’t play like the nice kid that he truly is on Friday night against Bucknell, dunking on Bison players, welcoming chippy play and draining jumpers in defenders’ faces. Oh yeah, and he was able to back down defenders for some buckets in the paint.

This is the Bridges we all expected at the beginning of the season and he’s finally playing the way he should. The Spartans fare much better when he’s being “selfish” as Tom Izzo calls it. He takes control of the game and puts the team on his back.

That’s not going to change against Syracuse.

The Orange have a tough 2-3 zone defense which is usually tough to crack, but the Spartans will do a good job of finding soft spots. Bridges will be inclined to take some open shots from distance and when he sees some of them fall early on, he’s going to drive to the rim and score that way — or even some backdoor alley-oops.

Bridges will finish the game with 30 points, really putting the team on his back and taking over the NCAA Tournament. He’ll add eight rebounds and three assists in the 10-point win.
