3. Josh Langford must bust out of his slump

Am I the only one holding out hope for Josh Langford’s revival? At this point in the season, that’s possible, but whether fans want to believe it or not, he has the talent to be one of the better scorers on the team. He will eventually be forced into a more prominent role once Miles Bridges leaves and the offense needs a go-to scorer.

However, Langford is still going to be leaned on heavily in the 2018 tourney. Although the Spartans have scorers like Bridges, Cassius Winston, Nick Ward and Jaren Jackson Jr., the sophomore wing could be a key factor in a potentially deep run.

During Langford’s slump, the Spartans have struggled to find a second or third-scorer as he’s been brick city from just about everywhere on the floor. That must change if Michigan State is going to make a run to San Antonio.

Like it or not, Michigan State isn’t going to be able to win big games with Langford’s slump continuing. When he was playing well earlier in the year, the Spartans were a dominant force. Now, he just needs that confidence back.
