Panic is surrounding the Michigan State basketball team following a loss to Michigan, but what fixes can be made before the NCAA Tournament?

Michigan State was the favorite to win a national championship from the minute training camp opened to the 2017-18 season. Throughout the season, Michigan State had its ups and downs, but the Final Four narrative has stuck around.

Struggling to build a resume, the Spartans have held a “we’ll be fine” mindset throughout process. Expecting this team to click on all cylinders by March, and finally have all the kinks worked out over the 31-game regular season is a common, and reasonable, presumption.

The Big Ten Tournament was supposed to be the weekend that Michigan State proved its worth and value as the team to beat this season. Tom Izzo’s squad went into  Madison Square Garden, only to come out doing the opposite of what it was there to do.

Michigan State proved why the Final Four is a mountain away from this team, and many things need to change in order to complete the goal this team has set out to accomplish.
