4. Cassius Winston becomes household name outside of East Lansing

If you’ve watched Michigan State’s last five games, you’d probably realize one player has done exceedingly well compared to the rest. Sure, guys like Nick Ward, Jaren Jackson Jr. and flashes of Miles Bridges have done well, but no one has been quite as consistent as Cassius Winston.

The sophomore point guard is averaging over 14 points and six assists per game, even approaching six rebounds per contest, over the last five games while shooting 74 percent — yes, you read that right — from 3-point range. Winston is an unbelievable 17-of-23 from downtown in this hot stretch.

Every national title contender needs a premier point guard to lead the way, and Michigan State has just that and he will remain red-hot for the Spartans, averaging about 15 points, 7.2 assists and 5.4 rebounds in the month of March to help lead the Spartans deep in both the Big Ten and NCAA tournaments.

Winston is going to carve out a name for himself on a national level this March and he could soon become a household name.
