4. Josh Langford is getting back on track

Would you look at that? After going four straight games without reaching double digits in the scoring column, Josh Langford has gotten back on track with four consecutive games with at least 10 points.

Michigan State’s most important wing player not named Miles Bridges finished with 15 points on 5-of-9 shooting which is the highest percentage he’s shot since the win over Rutgers on Jan. 10. This past stretch of games could be the spark he needs to be that second or third scoring option for the Spartans that Tom Izzo desires.

Langford also played his most minutes since the Michigan loss and was 4-for-4 from the free throw line, including two clutch ones in the final seconds which gave the Spartans a three-point lead.

Although his defense has been shaky, at times, just like it was against Iowa, he came up with some huge stops, including one to force a crucial shot-clock violation against the Hawkeyes. He seems to be back on track and that’s good news heading into the Purdue game Saturday.
