This is the game that must be circled on every player’s calendar. The Boilermakers are scorching the earth right now with their play, winning a school record 18 games in a row. There’s a chance the Spartans could see the Boilermakers in East Lansing riding a 20-game winning streak.

Purdue has been playing some impressive basketball in just about every facet of the game. The Boilermakers shoot the ball well from the floor (50 percent), from 3-point range (43 percent), can facilitate well (18.3 assists), score (84.2 points) and play solid defense (63.7 points allowed). Michigan State is nearly as well-rounded, on the stat sheet, as the Boilermakers.

You can bet this is going to be one heck of a game in East Lansing.

Home-court advantage is going to play a vital role in this one more than anything else. The two evenly-matched teams will go at it, but the Spartans will shake off an earlier loss at Breslin Center against Michigan and the crowd will be a difference-maker as the team will feed off the energy en route to a close win and a resume-maker.

Isaac Haas will be held in check by Jaren Jackson Jr. and Nick Ward and Miles Bridges is going to go off for 25 points. Cassius Winston will play a relatively mistake-free game as well and this one will be an instant classic.

Final Score: Purdue 77, Michigan State 79 (24-3, 12-2 Big Ten)
