In the wake of tragedy at Michigan State, it’s time to realize that Mark Dantonio and Tom Izzo are trying to make sure people realize life is more than just sports.

Everyone in the country has heard about the shattering events in East Lansing. The articles, the ESPN segments, everything from media to social media.

In the wake of all this, it seems like the situation has become more about athletic destruction and less about sensitivity to the victims, the student-athletes and the men and women involved.

Sports journalists all across America have lost the sensitivity and lost the in-depth research. It seems like Michigan State can’t do or say anything right from ridicule about Michigan State basketball warm-up shirts they’ve worn all year by Darren Rovell, or just assumptions and destruction of two men’s character with no evidence.

This situation isn’t about Mark Dantonio or Tom Izzo. It’s about getting justice for the victims affected by this tragedy.

As for Dantonio and Izzo, it’s more than sports. Outside of athletics, they are still fathers and husbands with character. They still have a job to protect the student-athletes and heel from this moment.

It’s shocking that analysts are surprised by the soft-spoken behavior of Izzo and Dantonio. As Michigan State fans have seen multiple flashes of Dantonio refraining from talking about personal and negative issues. That’s part of research and really looking into a situation.

There’s still a major hump for Michigan State and Spartan Nation to get over, though. In this process, the true awareness of the situation needs to be spotlighted. All fans, whether in Spartan Nation or all across the country, must understand the real issue and the real concern.

Analysts and journalist across America with the ultimate responsibility of giving people real and unbiased articles must produce accurate statements and be wary of their words and people they attack.
