2. Miles Bridges scores 30 points

Last season, Miles Bridges did all he could in the only meeting with Illinois in Champaign but the Spartans came up three points short. It was a crucial loss late in the season and nearly knocked the Spartans right off the bubble. He likely hasn’t forgotten that loss and the star sophomore’s revenge tour got off to a rocky start with losses to Ohio State and Michigan.

Don’t expect Illinois to stand in his way. He looked to be his old self in a win over Indiana at home on Friday night and that could be a stepping stone to bigger and better things — and that includes more scoring.

Although he’s not relied on as much to put the ball in the basket early and often this year as opposed to last, he’s still the most important player on the floor, along with Cassius Winston, for the Spartans each game.

Needing another big game from Bridges, this time on the road, the sophomore will rise to the occasion for Tom Izzo and Michigan State. He’ll drop 30 points for the second time this season and add seven rebounds and four assists. Arguably one of his best all-around games.
