2. Cassius Winston won’t turn the ball over

Coming off a two-assist, four-turnover effort in a loss to Michigan, Cassius Winston knows that he needs to be better. He knows that the offense depends on him to facilitate and his inability to do so on Saturday against the Wolverines cost the Spartans dearly.

Two times this season Winston has finished a game with no turnovers and that number will improve to three on Friday night as he dishes out eight assists with no silly mistakes against Indiana.

The Hoosiers haven’t been great defensively and they aren’t fully healthy. That will play into Winston’s hands as he will take advantage of some mismatches in the post and feed both Nick Ward and Jaren Jackson Jr. deep enough so they can get easy buckets instead of turning it over themselves.

Winston will play one of his smartest games of the season and he’ll prove that he’s ready to turn a corner after the Michigan loss in which he played arguably his worst game. For a point guard looking to gain some confidence, a zero-turnover effort will be a big-time boost.
