I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, Romeo Weems is a walking triple-double. He has been impressive, to say the least, for New Haven during his junior campaign, putting up triple-doubles left and right and that third category has been both assists and blocks — yes, Weems has had games with 10-plus blocks this season.

Active on both ends of the floor, Weems is the ideal Tom Izzo recruit who can do it all. He’s strong and can score from anywhere on the floor. His basketball IQ is through the roof and he doesn’t quit on plays. There’s a reason he’s Michigan’s No. 1 recruit in the 2019 class and an early Mr. Basketball favorite for next season.

Weems has been to Michigan State plenty of times so he’s familiar with the players and coaches, which is good news for the Spartans. It’d be a shock to see him pick any other school at the next level.

The 6-foot-7, 215-pound junior from nearby New Haven, Mich., is listed as the No. 27 player in the class and the sixth-best power forward, per 247Sports.
