2. Miles Bridges finishes with game-high 25 points

As mentioned earlier, Mo Wagner and Miles Bridges have had the same type of season. Everyone expected them to dominate and likely top the race for Big Ten Player of the Year, but they have been somewhat underwhelming, under their standards.

Bridges still leads the Spartans in scoring, but he’s not taking over games like people expected and he’s looking far too passive with the ball in his hands on the wing. He hasn’t taken advantage of his athletic edge over defenders and often settles for outside shots instead of a drive and dunk or layup.

Only one time this season has he broken the 25-point mark and he has scored over 20 just four times. The Spartans need him to be more of a scorer and he’s going to do just that against the Wolverines. It’s not as hard to be “more of a jerk” in a rivalry game against a team that beat you by 29 last time you faced them.

Bridges will look the part of a Big Ten Player of the Year and take over the game when he needs to. Tom Izzo will be happy to know he will be more aggressive and jerk-like on his way to a 25-point outing.
