4. Josh Langford scores 10-plus in every game

A year ago, an oft-hampered Josh Langford had just eight 10-plus point performances, resulting in a 7-1 record for Michigan State. So far this season, he already has 11 double-digit shows and the Spartans are 11-0 during those contests. Basically, whenever Langford breaks 10 points, the Spartans win.

The sophomore wing is currently riding a streak of five straight games with at least 10 points and he’s going to almost triple that after the month. He’s going to put together nine straight games with 10-plus points in January, proving to be a scorer on the wing and not just a shooter, either.

Langford was hampered by a hamstring injury last season, so he didn’t quite get to showcase his entire arsenal. He’s capable of shooting from distance, making mid-range jumpers, slashing to the basket and even offensive rebounding and putting the shot back up for an easy bucket.

The Alabama-native is going to have the best month of his young career, breaking 10 points in each game to start the first real month of conference play. He’s already averaging 11.5 points against Big Ten foes this season, but we can expect that number to rise comfortably.
