2. The Eron Harris Senior Day court kiss

Watching Eron Harris go down with a gruesome knee injury against Purdue in Mackey Arena was tough. Michigan State needed a big road win against the Boilermakers and the Spartans wouldn’t be able to get it done without the help of the senior guard.

Harris was expected to have a breakout season to close out his two-year career with Michigan State after transferring in, but he struggled a bit with added pressure. While he was a decent scoring option for the green and white, he wasn’t as dominant as many expected him to be as a shooter and slasher.

Against Purdue, he came down awkwardly and screamed out in pain. He was carted off the floor as his teammates were clearly emotional. The Spartans would go on to lose the game, 80-63, and fall to 16-11 on the season. Their NCAA Tournament hopes hung in the balance.

They went on to win the next two games and seemingly lock up a tourney spot and that second game was against No. 14 Wisconsin for Senior Day. The Spartans were up 10 late and they were able to get Harris on the floor for the Senior Day tradition of kissing the logo at mid-court.

It was an awesome moment for everyone involved and there weren’t many dry eyes in Breslin Center.
