3. Miles Bridges is an improved passer

If you didn’t notice, Miles Bridges wasn’t looking for his shot much on Friday night as the game wore on. He was interested in getting his teammates the ball and he said after the game that he loves making a good pass. Tom Izzo even said that Bridges smiles bigger when he gets an assist than when he makes a 3-pointer, and that says a lot about him.

Sure, there are times where he can be too unselfish, but it looks like he’s added another element to his game which makes him that much more dangerous.

Bridges finished the game with 18 points, eight rebounds and seven assists. He looked like a serious threat to reach a triple-double and that’s what Izzo wants to see. Although he did say he talked to Bridges about looking for his shot more and being more selfish (yes, that’s what Izzo wants, at times), Izzo was pleased with how his humble superstar played.

The Spartans seem to feed off the energy he brings to the table and even on a night when he shoots 7-of-16 from the floor and doesn’t do much offensively until the second half, he’s still having a major impact on the outcome.
