2. Josh Langford leads all scorers
It’s been a long road for Josh Langford. He came to Michigan State as a five-star shooting guard and he failed to live up to the hype during his freshman campaign due to a hamstring injury. However, he has come on strong during his second season in East Lansing and looks to be headed toward a strong Big Ten season.
Langford is currently third on the team in scoring, averaging 13.6 points per game and shooting 44 percent from 3-point range, but he’s surprisingly had few 20-point showings.
Expect that to change on Friday night as he will lead the game in scoring with 25 points to go along with five 3-pointers and three assists. He will also add a few rebounds a couple of steals, making his final stat line look impressive.
When Langford breaks the 10-point mark in the regular season, the Spartans are unbeaten. If he can start breaking 15 and 20 points consistently, no team in the Big Ten will be able to keep up with Michigan State.
