4. LJ Scott will have a big day on the ground

Although allowing 146 yards per game on the ground isn’t exactly considered “poor” run defense, Washington State doesn’t excel at stopping the run quite like the Spartans do. The Cougars have given up big yardage to some talented backs this season and LJ Scott is poised to close 2017 on a high note.

The junior running back has yet to decide on his future with Michigan State and there’s a good chance this will be his last game in the green and white. If that’s the case, he will close out his career the right way.

No, he didn’t have the junior season he was expecting, but he will finish with over 2,500 career rushing yards with Michigan State if he finishes with the 130-plus I’m predicting. He’s going to run wild over the Cougars despite them having one of the best defensive linemen in the nation: Hercules Mata’afa.

Scott might be one of the more talented backs the Cougars have seen all year and that Spartan offensive line has had a month to gel and figure out what went wrong in the run game during the season. Expect a big game from the junior back from Ohio.
