4. Josh Langford leads Spartans in scoring

It seems like Michigan State has a different top scorer each game these days and on Saturday, that will be Josh Langford. He’s going to be that “secret” weapon to lead the Spartans over the Golden Grizzlies as they will be more focused on Nick Ward, Jaren Jackson Jr., Cassius Winston and Miles Bridges.

No, I’m not saying Langford is the No. 5 option in this offense, but he often flies under the radar. Teams account for the other slew of scoring options, as well as a sharpshooting point guard, and sometimes forget about that wing player who has the ability to hit the mid-range shot like Rip Hamilton.

Langford hasn’t been shooting as much lately as Tom Izzo would like, but that will change on Saturday as he will get up 15 shots, making nine of them, including four 3-pointers. He will finish with 24 points and help the Spartans put up one of their highest point totals of the season.

Michigan State is a different team when Langford is on his game and that should send a message to the rest of the nation.
