3. Jackson Cravens, 3-star DT (Provo, Utah)

From one Utah-native to another. Jackson Cravens has been near the top of Michigan State’s recruiting board for a while now, but it all depends on if the three-star defensive tackle wants to make the trip across the country to play with his cousin, Mufi Hill-Hunt.

Yes, Hill-Hunt comes into play here as he could be telling his cousin all about the program and trying to sell it to him and make him more conformable with the idea of moving. He officially visited Michigan State back in September and got to spend time with Mufi and the two got to tour campus together.

Unfortunately, Hill-Hunt’s playing career is in jeopardy as he suffered a season-ending injury in the final month of the regular season and that could play a role in Cravens’ eventual decision. Right now, Utah is the top contender for Cravens while the Spartans are trying to make up ground.

Cravens is ranked as the No. 471 overall prospect and 36th-best defensive tackle in the class, according to 247Sports. He fills a position of need and has a strong 6-foot-3, 285-pound frame. Will he move away from home, though?
