Starters: A-

The starting lineup remained the same yet again, which is great for consistency. The Spartans need to have that continuous starting lineup to create chemistry.

Overall, these five played well, scoring 73 of the Spartans’ 86 points. They also combined for 34 rebounds, nine assists and seven blocks. They also shot 27-of-32 from the free throw line and 21-for-43 from the floor. These five have been solid, but they still didn’t play up to potential on Sunday.

Let’s start with Nick Ward. The sophomore big man had yet another strong game in limited action. He played just 16 minutes, scored 22 points and had seven rebounds and three blocks. He did, however, record four fouls. He continues to be an absolute monster in the post.

Jaren Jackson Jr. wasn’t too far behind, finishing with 15 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks. Those two in the post have created a formidable duo. Also, Jackson Jr. was perfect (8-for-8) from the free throw line.

Cassius Winston went out and had himself a game, finishing with 16 points and seven assists on 6-of-10 shooting. He continues to be a leader on the floor and is growing with each game.

Miles Bridges didn’t have his best game, but still finished with 12 points and six rebounds. He was trying to get to the hole more, which is good for his overall game, but he’s not back to his normal self just yet.

Last, but not least, Josh Langford also didn’t have his best game from the floor, making just 2-of-5 shots, but he had five rebounds and made a more concerted effort to crash the boards and defend. He finished with eight points.
