Bryn Forbes’ former school will come to town, looking for revenge after the Spartans reeled away the sharpshooter who was originally from Lansing. The Vikings are 2-4 on the season heading into the month of December with only wins coming against Arkansas State and Coppin State. However, the offense has been a major issue.

Although Kenny Carpenter leads the team in points per game and four players average in double figures, the Vikings don’t have many scoring options outside of that. They average just 65 points per game and were held to just 38 in a road game against Rutgers. Michigan State will hold them in check here as well, but the Vikings will be able to break 40.

Final Score: Cleveland State 45, Michigan State 77 — (13-1)

The final game of the month comes against a Savannah State team that is just 3-6. The Tigers haven’t been able to beat anyone with a pulse and they’ve given up 100-plus points four times already this year. Michigan State will make it five on a New Year’s Eve matinee contest, sending Spartan fans home happy with the blowout win.

Josh Langford will match his career-high of 23 points while Miles Bridges goes off on another 30-point performance as the entire starting lineup finishes in double figures and Xavier Tillman has a career game, maybe even a double-double, off the bench. This will be a great way to end the month and head into the rest of conference play with some extra confidence.

Final Score: Savannah State 61, Michigan State 106 — (14-1)
