3. Josh Langford drops 20 again

Coming off a career performance against North Carolina, Josh Langford is going to remain hot. The sophomore guard from Alabama came to Michigan State as a sharpshooter and he’s going to live up to that billing against the Irish like he did versus the Tar Heels.

Langford hit 8-of-11 shots on Sunday night, and 5-of-7 from deep, to beat the Tar Heels and he scored 23 points in the process — a career-high. It was actually the first time in his career he reached the 20-point plateau and the Spartans are unbeaten in the regular season over the past two years when he scores at least 10.

How does one follow up a performance like that? By putting together another 20-point game, of course. After finishing with his first-ever 20-point game at the collegiate level, Langford will be feeling it on Thursday night and Notre Dame won’t be able to stop him.

What will benefit him the most is his newfound slashing ability and it will keep the Irish on their toes at all times. He will fake a few drives to the hoop, step back and hit a couple of big threes. Is this the beginning of Langford’s rise?
