4. LJ Scott may have played his last game at Spartan Stadium

As tough as it is to say, LJ Scott might be headed for greener pastures next season. The junior running back was a near-lock to forgo his senior season for the NFL before the year even started and after a strong performance against the Terrapins, it’s possible we may not see him again suited up in the green and white at Spartan Stadium.

If this was his last home game, he had a heck of a going away party. He was the workhorse of the day, rushing the ball 29 times for 147 yards and a touchdown. He was finding creases all day long to run through and he attacked more than he had in previous weeks.

Scott looked like his old self out there, patiently waiting for the line to clear lanes and bursting right through them. This was his second 100-yard game of the season, both have happened in Big Ten play, and he’s now 269 yards away from reaching the 1,000-mark on the year.

It would take a valiant effort to crack 1,000 in two remaining games, but it’s possible. If he had sleepwalked through the final few weeks, we would be talking about him coming back in 2018, but as of right now, it looks like he’s a sought-after NFL prospect.
